NAES to Operate Quail Run and Colorado Bend Energy Centers

01/17/2007 - ISSAQUAH, WA - North American Energy Services Company (NAES), a broad-based provider of services to the power generation industry, announces that it has signed an Operations and Maintenance Agreement with Navasota Energy Partners LP for two facilities currently under construction in Texas.

The gas-fired, combined cycle power plants - Quail Run Energy Center in Odessa and Colorado Bend Energy Center in Wharton, southwest of Houston - have been permitted to produce 550 megawatts each and will be constructed in two phases of 275 megawatts. Phase I is expected to be completed in April of 2007.

The new facilities are being designed using state-of-the-art emissions control technology that meets or exceeds all state and federal regulations for plants of this type. The initial staff on site for each project will consist of at least 14 highly-skilled employees and there will be between 150 and 200 employed at the peak of each construction phase.
NAES Vice President of Power Plant Operations, Dan Scarborough, stated, "Our long-term presence in the Texas generation market and a history of cost-effectively operating combined cycle facilities were key factors in our selection. We are pleased to be working with Navasota Energy on these new energy generation facilities."

"We are very excited about this partnership," said Navasota President Frank Giacalone. "The experience that NAES brings to the table makes them a perfect fit for Navasota."
