Issaquah, WA, 05/17/2007 -- ISSAQUAH, WA - North American Energy Services Company (NAES), a broad-based provider of services to the power generation industry, announces that it has taken over the operations and maintenance of four large gas-fired combined cycle plants owned by Kelson Energy: Cottonwood Energy in Deweyville, Texas; Magnolia Energy in Ashland, Mississippi; Redbud Energy in Luther, Oklahoma; and Dogwood Energy in Pleasant Hill, Missouri. The plants serve markets in the Southwest Power Pool and the Tennessee Valley Authority and Entergy sub-regions of the Southeastern Reliability Council.
Neal Cody, CEO of Kelson Energy, stated, "We selected NAES to operate these plants based on a strong track record and reputation, a history of successful plant transitions, a solution customized to meet our needs, and the capacity to take on multiple plants at one time in a compressed timeframe. We've known NAES for some time and have confidence in their ability to perform. Kelson Energy is a company formed to focus on the ownership and management of assets and NAES supports the growth of our business by allowing us to maximize our efforts in our core strengths."
