Team,
We are excited to announce that Bates Szakos is rejoining NAES Power Contractors as the Director of Strategic Growth and Operations, effective immediately. After three years away, Bates’s return underscores our dedication to strategic growth at NPC.
Bates first joined NPC over twelve years ago as an Estimator & Project Manager. His dedication and high performance led to a promotion to Director of Operations & Estimation.
With more than two decades of experience in construction management, preconstruction, business development, and labor relations, Bates brings highly regarded expertise to his new role.
His notable achievements include managing the Selective Catalyst Reduction System installation at JP Madgett Station in Alma, WI, overseeing over $45 million in work between 2013 and 2015. Additionally, as Director of Operations, he successfully led large power plant outages at CAMS Conemaugh and Keystone in Western Pennsylvania from 2016 to 2021. Bates also played a key role in renewing long-term maintenance contracts with the Colstrip site in 2017 and renegotiating contracts with Tacoma Public Utilities in 2020.
His recent experience in managing industrial construction projects further enhances his comprehensive understanding of our industry.
“Bates’s return is fantastic news for our team, his outstanding reputation in the field and his commitment to driving growth will be invaluable to NPC. We’re confident that his leadership will propel us to new heights.”
